### Summary
You will serve as a ELECTRICIAN in the Electric Shop, Infrastructure, Operations Flight 36th CES, Office of the Operations Officer of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND MARIANAS.

### Responsibilities
* You will install electrical components such as conduits, electrical conductors, breakers, switches, outlets, main distribution panels, power meters, light fixtures, electrical motors, electrical/electronic motor controls and surge protection devices.
* You will perform preventive maintenance on complex industrial electrical/electronic controls, and electrical equipment to ensure proper and safe operation.
* You will repair and inspect power and lighting circuits, switches, fuses, and meters for electrical systems on industrial plant equipment and temporary production structures.
* You will use portable power tools (e.g. generators, hammer drills, band saws, jack hammers, hydraulic conduit benders and electric pipe threading machines) to construct, maintain, install, modify, and repair electrical systems.
* You will troubleshoot and identify faulty electrical wiring and components to repair and restore proper operation.
* You will inspect faulty electrical/electronic wiring, controls and electrical motors of defective equipment to ensure safe functionality.

* You will be required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, stretch, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
* Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth. You will occasionally lift items that weigh over 40 pounds with assistance from other workers. Frequently lift parts and equipment that weigh up to 20 pounds.
* May work with hazardous materials such as asbestos or accumulated waste. You will be required to wear protective clothing and gear on thest occasions.
* May be exposed to temperature extremes in test facilities, extremely high noise levels, and exposure to lead, radiation, chemicals, or carcinogens.
* Pay Retention will be extended to eligible Department of Defense employees who must relocate to accept this position.
* May work on scaffolding or cranes at heights of 30 or more feet, or in close quarters such as manholes or attics. Subject to electric shock, cuts, and bruises.

This position is designated Tropical Cyclone Essential. The incumbent of this position is designated as a Tropical Cyclone Essential employee. May be required and must continue to work regardless of weather conditions. May be subject to recall to duty if a condition change should occur while in a non-duty status and may be required to work overtime. You will be expected to cope with difficult driving conditions caused by wind or rain. It is understood that when a Tropical Cyclone Condition 1 is declared on Andersen AFB all civilian employees will be released administratively except those identified as Cyclone Essential Employees. You will be required continue in duty status regardless of the Wing Commander's decision to release non-essential employees administratively (without charge to leave).
